Yaavarum Nalam  All the way to chill your spines
- IndiaGlitz, [Friday,February 27 2009]
Perhaps, for those who were enthralled watching best Âhorror-thrillers alike Gore VerbinskiÂs ÂThe RingÂ, Takashi ShimizuÂs ÂGrudge or the recent ÂOne Missed CallÂ, hereÂs something more exciting off that genre. When every auteur strides on safe bet of not touching this style of films, Vikram shores on with his bilingual film ÂYaavarum Nalam titled Â13B in Hindi. Vikram made his debut directorial in Tamil with ÂAlai a romantic entertainer and later fetched National Awards for his film ÂSilent Scream based on the suicide.
WhatÂs so exceptionally unique with Yaavarum Nalam?
When its so clichéd watching spooky sequences set usually at dark-nights, Vikram works out contrastively as most of those spine-chilling ones happen at daytime. Possibly, the title ÂYaavarum Nalam ideates us about perceiving it to be a family entertainer, but itÂs a film bounded with unexpected thrills Ân chills.
Shankar-Ehasan-Loy is back in Kollywood scoring music after a long sabbatical gap of Kamal HaasanÂs ÂAalavandhaan'. Vikram happens to be the youngest director to render a bilingual film so early in his career. Suresh Balaji and George Pius are producing the film a joint-venture with ADLABS.
A special song ÂOh Sexy Mama has been extensively shot with Madhavan and alluring models for the special promos.
And finally, whom do you think could be the antagonist? For a greater surprise, itÂs a Television with whom Madhavan would be getting on for a hand-to-hand combatÂ
Doubtlessly, this should have shot your adrenalines high and keep awaiting for the thriller-coaster ride till March 6.
